MIT-Medicinski Instrumenti i Tehnologija is the representative and distributor of KARTSANA in Serbia, playing a fundamental role in introducing innovative solutions in the field of medical transportation in the country. This established collaboration has laid the foundation for transformative projects, and now, together with MIT-Medicinski Instrumenti i Tehnologija, we have taken a step forward to improve healthcare for children and young people in Vojvodina.
Innovation in Pediatric Transportation: The contribution of KARTSANA and MIT- Medicinski Instrumenti i Tehnologija
Within the framework of our collaboration with Medicinski, we are pleased to share the success of the introduction of a state-of-the-art vehicle designed for the transport of premature and newborn babies in an incubator for the Institute of Health Care for Children and Youth of the autonomous province of Vojvodina (Serbia).
Vojvodina Institute of Health Care for Children and Youth: A Center of Excellence in Pediatric Care
The Institute is a reference institution that provides the most complex health procedures, where its services cover the province of Vojvodina, which has about 2,000,000 inhabitants, of which about 20% are minors. The capacity of the Institute is 350 beds, of which 226 in the Children’s Diseases Clinic, 82 in the Children’s Surgery Clinic and 42 in the Habilitation and Rehabilitation Clinic. This vehicle, equipped with the first electric stretcher adapted for Incubators in Serbia, has been possible thanks to the cooperation of MIT with KARTSANA, a world leader in the manufacture of stretchers for medical vehicles.
Positive impact on children’s healthcare
The addition of this cutting-edge technology to the fleet of the Institute of Health Care for Children and Youth in Vojvodina has had a positive impact on pediatric emergency care and transport capacity. The safety and well-being of premature babies during transport has been significantly improved, marking a milestone in child healthcare in the region.
